One of the hulls from the ill-fated catamaran Team Phillips, which was ripped apart by North Atlantic gales off Ireland shortly before start of The Race last year, was found adrift off a port in Iceland. Arnthor Ragnarsson and Baldvin Bjorgvinsson, pictured standing on the hull, and a group of ocean sailors found the 120-foot hull from Pete Goss’ supercat in early June just outside the harbor of one of the Vestmann Islands, a cluster of volcanic islands off Iceland’s southern coast. The pair, accomplished racers who last year raced the 1,300 miles from Paimpol in France to Reykjavik in five days, also found one of the vessel’s masts.
