San Diego Yacht Club’s biennial race to the Mexican mainland in March. The 2022 Puerto Vallarta Race will feature an aggressive 1,000nm course from San Diego to Puerto Vallarta, pulling in serious ocean racers from local and global racing teams. 

The fierce on-the-water activity is a draw for both professional sailing athletes and passionate sailing aficionados. While the competition may be hot on the water, racers and spectators enjoy friendly camaraderie off the water with our kick-off fiesta at SDYC and the beach front awards party in Puerto Vallarta. The PV race is the embodiment race-hard, play-hard spirit.
