Solar-powered vessel crosses Atlantic

Turanor Planetsolar

The solar-powered TURANOR PlanetSolar has crossed the Atlantic in 26 days and 19 hours 10 minutes, a time that includes several days of unfavourable, cloudy weather. While we probably won’t be seeing lots of people voyaging in solar-powered vessels, this is an impressive accomplishment for a solar-powered electric boat.

According to the PlanetSolar people, this is just the first leg of a planned circumnavigation for TURANOR PlanetSolar.
