Montreal Classic Boat Festival returns

The following is a press release from the Montreal Classic Boat Festival:

It’s with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we would like to announce the return of the MONTREAL CLASSIC BOAT FESTIVAL this summer. We are in the process of organizing the second edition of the Festival and we would like to invite you to take part in the largest maritime event in the province taking place in the Old Port of Montreal from August 20th to August 22nd.

This maritime festival organized by our passionate staff has many great objectives, one being to bring visitors closer to their maritime heritage. In addition to being entirely free to visitors, it also offers great entertainment and the unique opportunity to participate in multiple activities including the land & water displays and the nautical market in which booths are available. This is a great time for you to develop a new market north of the border, only a few hours away!

The 2009 event was of great interest to the journalists and exhibitors but mostly to the visitors who came to admire the boats and discover the many booths or displays. According to the Old Port Society, 30,000 to 35,000 people visited the show in 2009. A considerable traffic that the Festival will continue to make grow since the potential for that time of year on the docks is over 100 000 for the three day period. We have made great efforts to care for the image and message that the Festival transcends during the event. We will continue our efforts for the 2010 edition in order for our partners to continue to benefit from an association with this unique maritime event.
