Industry Veteran Tom Stainton Joins Edson Staff

 

New Bedford, MA, USA – Edson International is pleased to announce that marine industry veteran Tom Stainton has been hired as Operations Manager. Tom will be responsible for overseeing production at Edson's world-class manufacturing facility, including the machine shop, welding shop, marine assembly division, and pump division.

Prior to joining Edson, Tom was General Manager of MacDougalls' Cape Cod Marine Service, Inc. in Falmouth, MA, a premiere marina and world class, full service yacht repair facility performing all aspects of service, repair and refits to vessels up to 130'. Prior to that, Tom spent years in the seafood industry developing a fishing pier and cooperative in Boston harbor, and managing two seafood wholesale companies in Boston and Gloucester, MA.
In addition to his work related activities, Tom is an avid sailor with lifelong experience on the water. He has restored several classic sail and power boats, as well as designing and building a two-man submersible. "Tom's strong management background, as well as his customer service expertise and understanding of the marine industry will be a great fit for Edson." says Edson President Will Keene. "We look forward to having Tom help take Edson to the next level of unrivaled manufacturing."
