World cruising expert and author Jimmy Cornell has teamed up with his son Ivan to produce an atlas of pilot charts for all the oceans of the world. Unlike older pilot charts that include older historical data, these charts are based on the latest meteorological data gathered during the previous 20 years.
The atlas includes a comprehensive discussion of the nomenclature, definitions, as well as comments on principal sailing routes. It includes 60 monthly pilot charts of all the oceans of the world as well as 69 detailed charts of the most commonly sailed trans-Atlantic oceanic routes including sidebar commentary and suggestions. The atlas is aimed at sailors planning or undertaking an ocean passage. Soft covered and spiral bound, this large size atlas endeavors to present as true a picture as possible of actual conditions as they prevail in today’s oceans. It is a key piece of planning gear for any ocean voyager.
