Used boat show gets new name

The Newport Used Boat Show, which has been operating inNewport, R.I., harbor for the last 28 years, has changed its name to the Newport Spring Boat Show, an attempt on the part of its organizers to broaden the scope of the event, which they say is made up of more than just a bunch of used boats. The Newport ýpring Boat Show will be held this year from May 31 through June 2 at the Newport Yachting Center on America's Cup Avenue in downtown Newport. The show will continue to offer a large inventory of used (or should we say "pre-owned") boats, ranging in length from 8 to 50 feet and in price from a few hundred dollars to $300,000.
