Reyn Spooner Launches Official Transpac 2023 Aloha Shirts

The Transpacific Yacht Club (TPYC) – organizers of the 2225-mile biennial Tranpsac race from Los Angeles to Honolulu – and Reyn Spooner – creator of the World’s most collected Aloha shirts – are pleased to announce the release of the official Transpac 2023 Collection of Aloha shirts for men and women custom-crafted for this year’s 52nd edition of the race.

The design team at Reyn Spooner have worked closely with the race team at TPYC to create this stunning print shirt that features notable boats that have participated in the race over the years. This custom print features images of these yachts racing across the Pacific from their start off the California coast to the finish off Diamond Head, the iconic volcanic crater on the south coast of Oahu.

First raced in 1906 from an idea presented by Hawaii’s King Kaluakaua to celebrate his 50th birthday in 1897, there have been 2111 boats entered in 51 races held thus far. In the ocean racing world there are no other offshore races with this cultural heritage of being started by royalty over a century ago and enriched by the thousands of sailors’ participation ever since.
