Nav training on Atlantic voyage

Ocean Navigator magazine’s School of Seamanship and Sailing Ship Adventures are sponsoring a nav seminar aboard the tall ship Royal Clipper on a trans-Atlantic trip from the Med to the Caribbean, departing Oct. 21, 2005. The instructor, John Carlisle, will teach celestial and electronic navigation, voyage planning, and grabbing weather data direct from the satellite.

The 16-night voyage from Málaga, Spain, stops in Casablanca, Safi and Essaouira, Morocco, as well as Tenerife in the Canary Islands, before arriving in Bridgetown, Barbados, on Nov. 6. Prices begin at $3,232 per passenger for the voyage and seminar. Contact Sailing Ship Adventures at www.sailingshipadventures.com, or 877-882-4395.
