Airstream, maker of iconic "silver bullet" trailers for land-based recreation, has turned to the Italian yacht design firm of Officinia Italiana Design and the high-end cabinetry specialists Tecnoform S.P.A. for a trailer concept that Airstream calls its "Land Yacht." The marine touch is seen in the teak and holly floors and Euroyacht-influenced cabinetry. According to Airstream, "The resulting interior is truly yacht-like and incorporates elements from the world’s finest luxury watercraft."
There's no word on the 28-foot trailer's stability curve or its polar performance numbers, but the concept trailer will probably resonate with folks who like a marine look & feel, even if they are only tacking down the Interstate.
