Icom at 2019 NMEA Expo

KIRKLAND, Wash. (September 2019) – BRING IT ON. Icom will be showcasing the multi-award-winning, fixed-mount transceiver, the M605, at the 2019 NMEA Expo, Booth 23. This year the event will be held at the Portsmouth Renaissance Hotel in Portsmouth, VA, September 16th-20th. New products, training events, demonstration boats, and more are on this year’s agenda.
The M605, Icom’s top-notch, fixed-mount marine VHF transceiver, is designed to bring communication to life with optimum visibility in mind. The large 4.3-inch LCD color display provides nearly 180-degree viewing angle for easy readability in any lighting condition, day or night. The M605 is not just a radio. It is a system, which allows for smooth operation throughout the vessel. Remotely control up to three controllers using all the M605 functions with the HM-195 series COMMANDMICTM. Making its NMEA debut is Icom’s newest marine VHF handheld – the M37. When out on the water, a radio that can withstand the elements is a necessity. It’s the perfect size offering large keys and an easy-to-grip design. Mariners will appreciate the big LCD display that easily shows channel numbers and status icons. This radio is rugged enough for commercial use, yet refined for the pleasure boat market. The M37 has 6W of RF output power and boasts a forceful 700 mW of audio output. The M37 was built to an IP57 waterproof protection rating. In addition, the AquaQuakeTM draining function clears water away from the speaker grill to prevent the speaker from becoming waterlogged. And let’s not forget about Icom’s very own Float’n Flash. This feature allows the radio to float and be easily located with by a flashing red LED light and LCD/key backlight.
The ever-popular M93D will also be on display. Built for the serious boater, this floating VHF transceiver has advanced marine handheld radios to the next level. The M93D is a slender, two-toned radio with a user-friendly, flat sheet keypad.
