A YouTube video by sailor hunterparrot has caused a bit of a sensation among Intracoastal Waterway Sailors, used to dealing with numerous fixed and opening bridges over the Waterway. The video demonstrates a unique method of heeling a large sailboat, utilizing several bags that are filled with tons of water. When the haliards are hauled in the boat is heeled down, allowing the skipper's 80-foot mast to clear a 65-foot high fixed bridge. Better practice your trigonometry!
