Hinckley’s newest service yard

 
For decades Hinckley boatbuilders was a Maine company with a single Maine location in Southwest Harbor (at left) on Mount Desert island where the company started building boats in 1928. But now Hinckley is is developing a network of yards to offer service to is cutomers. In latest example of this, The Hinckley Company has just announced its acquisition of the Winter Yacht Basin located in Mantoloking, N.J. This new yard will become the seventh Hinckley full service yard on the east coast.

From the press release: Located on Barnegat Bay, Jersey Shore, our new yard is readily available to work on all makes and models of boats with our expert Hinckley service people on hand. With 110 boat slips and winter storage for over 300 boats, Hinckley Yacht Service Mantoloking, NJ will be the 4th largest Hinckley Service yard. Rob Hoyle will assume the role of Operations Manager, assisted by John Glessner, who will assume the role of Assistant Operations Manager. The Company looks forward to growing the new yard significantly in the coming years.

The Hinckley Company currently operates full service yards in Southwest Harbor, ME; Portsmouth, RI; Annapolis, MD; Oxford, MD; Savannah, GA and Stuart, FL with the Mantoloking, NJ yard now adding to the prestigious list. This acquisition represents yet another important addition to Hinckley’s commitment to building the finest service network in the marine industry.
