This is one way to make a splash before you splash your new boat. British sailor Alex Bennett lets loose with the bubbly on his new Open 40 Fujifilm on Sept. 19 at the Southampton Boat Show in the U.K. Assisting in the champagne shower was Fujifilm UK’s managing director Mr. Saigusa.
Built in Totnes, Devon, Fujifilm has been prepared for a major three-year campaign.
Designed to compete in oceanic shorthanded races, the yacht’s first competitive event will be the 2007 Transat Jacques Vabre race, due to start in November 2007.
