First Trans-Atlantic Trawler Rally in 2004

Following the successful circumnavigation of its Nordhavn 40 last year, California boatbuilder Pacific Asian Enterprises announced it will host the first ever trans-Atlantic powerboat rally. Departing in May 2004, the Nordhavn Atlantic Rally will depart Newport, R.I., for the 3,500-mile crossing to Gibraltar. There will be stopovers in Hamilton, Bermuda, and Horta, Azores.

The rally will be escorted with PAE staff in support boats, offering emergency fuel supplies, mechanical and technical support, diver services, and daily weather briefings.
