ePropulsion Announces New Marketing Director and Service Team Members

Somerset, N.J. – ePropulsion, a global leader and market challenger in marine electric propulsion systems and services, announced today it has expanded its management staff to include the hire of new marketing director and head of Hong Kong office, Rita Li. Chang Zhao has expanded her role from CMO and is now responsible for all marketing, sales and service for the company. In addition to expanding the marketing and executive management team, the ePropulsion service staff has doubled to better serve their customers around the world.

Li brings over nine years of progressive marketing and management experience to the position. She is a business graduate and alumna of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology where she witnessed the start-up journey of ePropulsion by her peers who later became the co-founders and key management of the company. Prior to joining ePropulsion, she accumulated her professional experience at various renowned organizations including the Hong Kong Jockey Club and Junior Achievement. As a nature lover and boating enthusiast, Li is the ideal candidate to be a part of ePropulsion’s visionary journey to revolutionize the boating experience for a better world. She will oversee the multi-location marketing team and focus on branding, marketing strategies, communications planning, media relations and event planning and execution.

“I have enjoyed watching the growth and development of the ePropulsion brand from its very beginning,” said Li. “I am proud to join the ePropulsion team and I look forward to working closely with our amazing distributors around the world to extend collaborations in public relations and marketing bent on driving awareness of the ePropulsion brand even further.”

“We are very excited about the growing popularity of the brand and electric propulsion across the recreational marine industry,” said Danny Tao, co-founder and CEO of ePropulsion. “Driven by this interest and exceptional sales, our team has grown from humble beginnings with four employees in 2012 to now over 250 around the globe. We are confident that with our new hires and Rita’s passion for the brand, that we are well positioned for a bright future.”

An innovator in electric outboard propulsion, ePropulsion’s latest range of products, launched earlier this year, include the Spirit 1.0 Evo, Navy 3.0 Evo and Navy 6.0 Evo models; an evolution of its established product lines that now include hydrogeneration capabilities. In addition, ePropulsion also created a 9.9HP Pod Drive model that has proven popular with sailboats and small watercraft.

ePropulsion products will be on display at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in the engine tent, booth 1040 from October 27 through 31, 2021.
