Efficient and durable: LED flashlight

As LED technology continues to be enhanced, standard products, like the flashlight (pictured), are taking advantage of the bulbs’ low energy needs and durability. The Palight, produced by Premier Environmental Solutions in St. Paul, Minn. (800-636-3288), uses approximately 20 times less energy than a conventional flashlight and never needs a replacement bulb. The unit uses a standard nine-volt battery and has four brightness options.
