Edson International makes plenty of different boating products. And now they want their customers to take a picture and win an award. Enter the Edson photo contest and you might win a prize good for Edson gear. Boats, summer, photos, it all works together. Even if you don’t win a prize, you’ll end up with a great memory of fun on your boat this summer.
From the press release: Edson wants to see their customers using their Edson products on their boats this summer – and is hosting a summer photo contest to showcase images from boaters around the world.
The photo contest runs through Labor Day Weekend, 2009, with winners in both SAIL and POWER categories being announced at the Newport International Boatshow, in Newport, RI on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009.
Winners will be chosen in both SAILBOAT and POWERBOAT categories.
PRIZES FOR BEST PHOTOS IN EACH CATEGORY INCLUDE:
* 1st place – $500 Edson Gift Certificate/Merchandise Credit
* 2nd Place – $250 Edson Gift Certificate/Merchandise Credit
* 3rd Place – $100 Edson Gift Certificate/Merchandise Credit
* Honorable Mention – $50 Edson Gift Certificate/Merchandise Credit
In addition, winners may be featured in Edson’s national advertising campaigns, at boatshows and in their print catalogs in 2010.
Entries will also be posted on a special web gallery for viewing throughout the summer.
Edson customers are encouraged to submit photo depicting the use of Edson products on the water including steering wheels and pedestals, dinghy davits, boarding ladders, cockpit tables and drink holders and much more. Great examples include kids steering with an Edson wheel, family dining on an Edson Cockpit Table, the fish you caught while using an Edson Powerknob, your favorite beverage in an Edson Drink Holder, tight markroundings in your club race, Cocktails in the Cockpit with your regular crew, “The Captain” at the helm, lowering the dinghy in your favorite anchorage or harbor – use your imagination!
