Cruising with Theodore

Theodore Too, the overgrown bathtub toy generated to publicize the children’s public television series Theodore Tugboat, was cruising the East Coast this summer and stopped in Portland, Maine, for a visit. We all loaded the kids aboard and enjoyed a brief sail on Theodore Too: around the harbor and out to Portland Head Light as the captain tooted the horn, rolled the tug’s enormous eyes, and fed the kids cookies. Pictured are future Navigators: Paysons, Agnews, a Denison, some Joneses, a couple of Humphries, an Oakford, and a pair of Bradens. Not pictured – they were taking fixes in the pilothouse – was the Queeney trio.
