United States Yacht Shows, Inc., producers of the United States Sail and Powerboat shows, announced its launch of the first annual Cruisers University, to be held May 12 to May 15, at the Baltimore Inner Harbor Marine Center in Maryland.
The four-day event is billed as “The Ultimate Aid to Navigation” and will cover a wide range of subjects and cruising topics such as crossing the Gulf Stream, provisioning for long voyages, marine weather, and more. Experts from institutions such as the Annapolis School of Seamanship will be on hand. The event will feature an in-water display of sail and powerboats outfitted for long-distance voyaging. Participants will be not only attend formal sessions, but also have the opportunity for hands-on demonstations of equipment and the opportunity to sea trial selected boats.
