BELLINGHAM, WA — (October 22, 2009) Blue Sea Systems, a Bellingham based manufacture of marine electrical systems, has earned an honorable mention for its new SafetyHub250 at the 2009 International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) in Miami, FL last week.
Judges based their decisions on the product’s innovation and benefit to the marine industry and consumers.
“As a yacht designer and member of the BWI Innovation Awards judging panel at the IBEX show, I am always looking for the best products to recommend to my clients,” said Roger Marshall, of Roger Marshall Yacht Designs. “I have found the electrical products produced by Blue Sea Systems to be of extremely high quality, long lasting in the marine environment, and I recommend them to all my clients and install them on my own boats.”
“The selection of the SafetyHub250 for honorable mention for the IBEX Innovation Award demonstrates this product’s significance to the marine market,” said Scott Renne, President of Blue Sea Systems. “The SafetyHub250 provides boatbuilders, installers, and boaters a compact and cost-effective solution for circuit protection and battery switching needs.”
The SafetyHub250 combines an ignition protected fuse block with a remote battery switch and integrated connecting plugs. It consolidates up to seven circuits from 1A – 200A, eliminates loose wires, protects fuses from explosive fumes, and provides main battery shutdown from a safe location. The SafetyHub250 is ideal for vessels ranging from ski boats to offshore fishing boats.
