Bedding compounds

Common bedding compounds include 3M 101, Sikaflex 291 or a proprietary material called Tef-Gel, which is designed primarily for excluding moisture from and preventing corrosion in fastener threads. Whichever product you choose to use, it will succeed in preventing corrosion as long as it excludes air and water from the interface between the aluminum and the coating.
