Alumarine joins the grand large yachting group

The Alumarine Shipyard, specialized in aluminium shipbuilding joins the Grand Large Yachting Group.

A new impetus for Alumarine
Grand Large Yachting is internationally renowned for the quality of design and production of boats as reflected in its many international awards. The Group recorded an average annual growth of 40% since 2004 and exports around 70% of its production. Its consolidated turnover forecast for 2013 is € 14 million.
Alumarine now joins this group with strong experience and significant resources that will bring a new dynamic. Marketing, sales and production synergies will be implemented quickly within the group.
The experience gained from 10 years by Grand Large Yachting in terms of innovation, design, construction and quality offers great perspectives to Alumarine. The visibility and the Group’s global presence through its international sales network and Grand Large Services also opens new opportunities.

A strong positioning on Work Boats and Long Range Cruising boats
Expert in the production of commercial vessels and cruising boats for more than 25 years, Alumarine mainly build working vessels for an international clientele. Suited for professional users, these boats are powerful, robust, able to be used everyday in the most extreme conditions.The shipyard also build custom sailing and power catamarans from 40’ to 100 feet.
By joining Grand Large Yachting, Alumarine extends the Group’s products offer.
With its brands Allures, Outremer and Garcia, Grand Large Yachting that targeted the Long range boats’ market, is therefore not only the leader of the French long range boats with a full range of monohulls and multihulls in aluminum, but also a key player on the market of commercial vessels. Bringing know-how and synergies, the Group intends to strengthen the market positioning of Alumarine on workboats which represents about 80% of its production (passengers, mooring, bathymetry, multiservices) and the innovative
markets (Marine Renewable Energy, marine pollution clean-up…). The Alumarine offer of long range cruising catamarans in aluminum will also be developed linked to other shipyards of the Group.
Alumarine will participate in upcoming trade shows and boat shows with Grand Large Yachting Group.

Allures Yachting, build swing keel sailboats designed for long distance cruising. This range from 40’ to 51 feet is both made of aluminum for hulls and composite for decks. Based in Tourlaville, the shipyard employs 30 people for a turnover of € 4.3M in 2013.
Outremer Yachting, specialist of the cruising catamarans for almost 30 years. The range goes from 42 to 64 feet. There are now over 200 Outremer catamarans sailing on the seas in the world. Outremer Yachting won the «European Yacht of the Year» in 2010 and 2013. The company has 63 employees for a turnover multiplied by four since 2007 amounting to €
8.5M in 2013.
Garcia Yachting, specialized in the construction of custom boats in aluminium from 50’ to 115 feet since 1974. Its «handmade» units embody the very high level of the French shipbuilding know-how. More than 300 Garcia sailboats explore the seas. With its new trawler, Garcia Yachting won the «European Powerboat of the Year» in 2013.
